\u201cHeadin\u2019 to Evart\u201d<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a tune by that name written by our friend, Bill Robinson. But as I write this, those words accurately describe our destination. We\u2019re about 15 miles from home and finally on our way to the biggest festival we attend. It\u2019s also the event where we\u2019re in charge of workshops. (I say \u201cwe\u201d but technically it\u2019s my job, nevertheless, without John\u2019s help, I couldn\u2019t do it.)<\/p>\n
It\u2019s always a chore to get ready. Yesterday we were busy all day picking up the workshop programs and the copy machine, getting the paper for copies plus all the other stuff that we need to make the workshops run smoothly. <\/p>\n
This morning we were up about 7:30 and by 8:00 we were packing. It took us until 4:30 of steady, hard, physical work. <\/p>\n
My old body isn\u2019t up to that kind of abuse. I\u2019m plum tuckered out! <\/p>\n
We didn\u2019t even stop to eat so all I\u2019ve had is a 2\u201d x 2\u201d brownie, and a few chips washed down with a diet ginger ale. <\/p>\n
We definitely take more stuff when we go to this event than when we traveled across the country, and also lots more than when we go to Florida. <\/p>\n
But we love the whole Evart experience. It\u2019s like \u201cgoing home.\u201d Many of our best friends are there, we get to enjoy the most fantastic music imaginable. <\/p>\n
