When John and I bought our condo in 2008, one of the best features was the view of a lovely pond directly behind (and across the closed golf course) from us. Over the years the huge oak trees surrounding the pond grew and eventually we couldn’t see the water at all.

When Hurricane Milton came through our area the trees around the ponds were destroyed. It just looked like a huge sad pile of debris.

A couple weeks ago a team of workers came into the pond area with chain saws and trailers. They began clearing out the rubble. I can now see water but the mess hasn’t been entirely hauled away. We’ve had cold, rainy, miserable weather so the work crew isn’t hauling away the logs and branches. I know eventually it’ll be cleaned up so I’ll be patient. Hopefully it’ll soon look nice.
