My handyman, Rob, (who is one of Rick Miles employees) was scheduled to install a new faucet in my master bathroom. He’d warned me that old pipes like mine could shatter. Mine did. Luckily he’d shut off the water so there was no flooding. As he removed the drywall, he discovered lots of BLACK MOLD. Mold can really be a huge problem. It extened behind the baseboard, toilet, and completely behind the vanity. He had to remove the vanity. (It’s already been hauled to the dump.) I’ve ordered a new vanity to come by next Tuesday.

I am really glad the mold was discovered. It probably contributed to my feeling poorly last month. The more time I spent in bathroom, the more I inhaled the mold spores and I spent a lot of time on the toilet with a digestive upset.

Rick is going to do one of his creative basins for my new vanity. It’ll be lovely.

My condo is a disaster. The removal of drywall made a mess. I don’t have a masterbath sink right now so I brush my teeth in the kitchen. The shower was horribly dirty but I did finally clean it enough to use it. I’ll be glad when things are back it order.

Recently I’ve had major appliance expenses. In the past year or two, I’ve needed a new furnace/air
conditioner, a new microwave, new refrigerator, new water heater and new water softener.

Today my handyman discovered that my washer is leaking inside it. Since it came with my condo in 2008, it definitely isn’t worth repair. I ordered a new washer and dryer from Famous Tate’s where I’ve purchased all my appliances. They will be delivered Saturday and the old ones hauled away.

The only good thing today is my garbage disposal is now working, thanks to my handyman. He fixed it. He’ll be back to install a new sink faucet in my master bath. Oh, and my car is back in my garage all repaired.
