One of those days

March 27th I used my golfcart to go to a meeting, the grocery store, and home. I thought I’d checked the amount of electric power I had, but on Kings Point Blvd., on the way home, I ran out. I coasted a short distance and a pleasant couple helped me get my cart off that main street. I ended up in a safe spot not too far from my condo.

I don’t walk any distance and it was more of a hike than I could comfortably walk and HOT but I made it! (Exhausted!!) (The breakdown was very close to a friend (Hank’s) place on the next court (Nightcap Court) but they were away.) After I made it home, I rested a bit, and called Hank, who had just gotten home. He and his wife moved my cart into their garage. He came after my charger and plugged it in. A couple hours later, he brought the cart home partically charged and it finished charging in my garage. It’s now fully charged and working fine.

I have portable jump starter that’s supposed to be in the glovebox of my car but it wasn’t. I feared had been stollen but today I found it with other batteries and chargers in a plastic file box that I hadn’t looked at since the hurricane. I recharged most of the batteries so I’m set. I don’t know if that jump charger would work with my golfcart anyway. I couldn’t find a plug that matched but I didn’t look very hard.

(I almost ordered a new jump starter but I’m glad I didn’t because I didn’t need a second one.)
